The Pop Tort
"An irreverent yet poignant look at the civil justice system." The Pop Tort takes a witty, clever and irresistibly irreverent approach to otherwise weighty consumer advocacy issues. Launched in January, it’s also the Center for Justice & Democracy’s latest riposte to the tort reform movement.
Author: This blog is written by current and former staffers at a the Center for Justice & Democracy, a New York City-based public interest organization opposed to tort reform. Andy Hoffman is an attorney/policy analyst at the CJ&D; Amanda is a senior field organizer; Jason Held is a former staff director at CJ&D-Illionois; John Guyette is a former senior field organizer, and Eric Bell is a former field organizer at CJ&D-Illinois; and "Joe Consumer" is an everyday consumer and straight-shooting rebel with a major cause—and that's civil justice!
