  • Constitutional Fights: Repeal Adam Walsh Act Laws!

This blawg campaigns against Ohio Senate Bill 10, aka the Adam Walsh Act, which was enacted Jan. 1, 2008, and "imposes retroactive restrictions and requirements on offenders who were either convicted of or pleaded guilty to any sexually related offense. This law imposes, among other things, a lifelong registration requirement on them, meaning they are legally required to register with the local sheriff offices four times every year until they die to register every detail of their living conditions and location. This retroactive punishment is a violation of state and U.S. Constitutional rights relating to ex post facto provisions." The blawg has assembled a petition opposing the act that readers are invited so sign.
