However, fair warning: "Ana is a fictional character. She’s flighty, neurotic, flirty, scathing, coy, sarcastic, cynical, and sometimes bitter. The inspiration for Ana is drawn from some of the author’s favorite fictional characters," including Scarlett O'Hara in Margaret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind. By contrast, "the author is a quiet person who spent the bulk of her childhood hidden in her room with either a book or her daydreams. Unlike Ana, she wants to be a lawyer."
