Author: David J. Bilinsky is the practice management adviser and staff lawyer for the Law Society of British Columbia. He is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and editor-in-chief and chair of the editorial board of the ABA Law Practice Management Section's Law Practice magazine, for which he co-writes the Profitability column. He writes the PracticeTalk column for the Canadian Bar Association's BarTalk magazine; the technology column for the Trial Lawyers association of British Columbia's Verdict magazine and the practice tips columns for the Law Society of British Columbia’s The Lawyers Weekly and Benchers' Bulletin newsletter.
He has author of Amicus Attorney in One Hour for Lawyers and he has contributed to a number of other books: Barristers & Solicitors in Practice; Flying Solo, a Survival Guide for the Solo Lawyer 3rd & 4th editions; Law Office Procedures Manual for Solos and Small Firms, 2nd & 3rd editions; Managing Your Law Firm (CLE-BC) and the Annual Review of Law and Practice (1998-2003) (CLE-BC). He is currently writing The Associate's Guide to Technology, which will be published by the ABA.
