Peeps in Law 2014: 'Peep'tecting Florida's Water Resources
'Peep'tecting Florida's Water Resources
Submitted on behalf of the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board and the City of Jacksonville Environmental Quality Division.
“Water is perhaps Florida’s most treasured natural asset…from the beaches to the precious springs, rivers, wetlands, and the aquifers that serve as drinking water supply for most of us. All of the stakeholders ‘peep’tecting Florida’s water resources generally work well together. However, there have been some instances where the stakeholders have had to take each other to court to resolve both water quality and water quantity issues. Our diorama represents the partnership of all stakeholders in ‘peep’tecting Florida’s water resources…even when we sometimes have to ask a judge for a legal decision.”
