A federal judge in Nashville has dismissed a jury foreman accused of bullying other jurors, replacing him with an alternate and telling the jury to begin deliberating anew in a drug conspiracy case.
U.S. District Court Judge Aleta Trauger said she had received multiple notes from the jury and noted that one juror had been reduced to tears before excusing the foreman on Thursday. She asked the media not to name the jury foreman, reports the Tennessean.
The judge said she is “very concerned if people are feeling abused in the jury room.”
