Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg acknowledges the liberal advice on retiring, and she’s planning to ignore it.
Some liberals have urged the justice to retire so President Obama can name her replacement. But Ginsburg, 80, says she has no plans to retire yet, Reuters reports. "It really has to be, ‘Am I equipped to do the job?'” she told Reuters. “I was so pleased that this year I couldn't see that I was slipping in any respect."
Ginsburg kept to her regular schedule in May, even though she fell in the bathroom and broke some ribs, the same injury she suffered about a year ago. She took some painkillers and waited to heal. She has now resumed her weightlifting routine and is traveling to Paris this week.
