A Minnesota man who is a reputed gang member got probation Monday after inking over a tattoo that was thought to pose a threat to a Minneapolis police officer working in a gang-investigation unit.
Antonio Fransion Jenkins Jr. had faced a felony terroristic threat charge in the Hennepin County case after posting a photo of the tattoo on Facebook. It depicted a pig with a gun barrel in its mouth, and the animal was wearing parts of a police uniform and was identified with an actual officer's name, the Pioneer Press reports.
His lawyer said Jenkins regretted the tattoo and had inked it over, the newspaper says.
"Next time you want to get a tattoo, flowers would be nice," the judge told Jenkins, who cannot have contact with the police officer as a condition of his probation.
