What a great sign. I can’t tell you how meaningful it is to work at one of these places and know that they’ve made this type of commitment.
I am divided on dinging law firms who represent opponents of equality. Even hateful people should have access to legal representation. In fact, putting it in front of a court is a wonderful thing—because as the California case shows, when put to the proof, they will not be able to provide anything but naked moral condemnation.
On the other hand, I *personally* probably could not work for a firm that was assisting another entity to actively harm me.
It’s a very difficult situation, I think.

They might be great with LGBT stuff, but a lot of them still lay off young women soon after they marry because they “will just get pregnant and quit soon anyway”.

Sure, because protections for young married women aren’t the Hollywood fad du jour. They don’t get any “image” points for that.
