This is so confusing. Was it Bramble's ex-wife's boyfriend or Bramble's ex-wife's ex-boyfriend he was worried about?

In any event, it appears Bramble was a pretty poor shot.

BMcLeod, how about this, from earlier news reports:

Before working for the attorney general's office, Bramble got in some hot water with the Lawyer Disciplinary Board, but was only "admonished," not punished. The trouble came after Bramble listened to hours of confidential recordings of phone calls from the South Central Jail. The calls he listened to were made by James Montgomery, who has long been considered a suspect in the death of Brambles two-year-old son more than 10 years ago. But Montgomery, nor anyone else, has ever been charged with the crime.

Montgomery remains in a Georgia prison on charges not related to Bramble's son's death. Montgomery was at one time in a relationship with Bramble's ex-wife, the mother of the child who died.

Police are still trying to determine if the death of Bramble's son or his job resignation are in any way connected to this Monday's incident..

You can certainly understand the mans determination to find who killed his son. People who are violent with babies, shaking them, hitting them, abusing rate as scum in my book.
