Prison Break: Budget Crises Drive Reform, But Private Jails Press On

The government sends you to jail, it is the state which bears the responsibility for anyone’s incarceration.  That is not something that should be turned over to corporations.  What’s next, we hire condiatorre to serve as our military, we just have to make sure we outbid our enemies?  Whether someone belongs in jail or not is an issue for government not somebody trying to put you away for a buck.
