Courtroom suicide should be a wake-up call that security is needed at rural courthouse, says sheriff

What are they going to do, oral cavity searches for everyone because of a couple of suicides?  This does not make sense.

I agree re:  medications.  Guns and other weapons are usually used to kill someone else.  I see zero reason for public building security to concern itself with suicide via means unlikely to injure others.  What are they thinking?  Is the medications part of the proposal just a typical red herring, which will easily be deleted while what really counts is adopted?
