Busy with Broncos, linebacker Von Miller irks magistrate but finally arrives for traffic plea

So it's the judge who makes this a spectacle. By denying a motion to avoid the appearance. And ridiculous is not a legal term to be used from the bench. Sounds like this is a crony judge who should be removed

@ 1: It's fair. Most jurisdictions require you to either appear personally or file for a continuance for such hearings so that you can appear personally. If they'd waived personal appearance for Miller, but the rest of us "little people" had to show up, you can bet it would be on the news at 11:00--or whenever they have news in CO.

As for "ridiculous," even judges have limits; and "blowing off" the court is always bad form.

It's traffic court. You can usually do the whole thing by mail. It's more like a crony judge that wanted to be a big man.
Ridiculous. This is the problem judges are not there to blow off steam. They do not get that option. If they are the type of individual that need to blow off steam they are not judge material. Read the rules anything that diminishes the judiciary is not allowed. Unfortunately we allow buffoons to be judges because in this case they know someone. Not unlike Scalia
