From the iPhone J.D. blog by New Orleans lawyer Jeff Richardson:

Microsoft Office for the iPhone, free with an Office 365 subscription, lets you view .doc and .docx files and edit the latter. Features are limited (no track changes) but it works well if you need to make quick revisions.

TripIt is a great, free service that makes it easy to manage your travel, keeping track of flights, car rentals, hotels, etc. I use the iPhone and iPad app every time I travel.

If the Lightning-to-USB cord that came with your iPhone is too long, LightLinez is a 5-inch cord costing less than $20.

From the Droid Lawyer blog by Jeffrey Taylor of Oklahoma City:

The BakBone tablet holder attaches to a tablet with an adhesive strip and a high-power magnet. (The magnet won’t affect the tablet’s flash memory or destroy the hard drive.) It’s perfect for individuals who do a lot of standing.

Mobile and desktop users, rejoice. Google Cloud Print has exited beta testing and released an Android app. It lets you link desktop or Wi-Fi printers to your Google account and then send documents to a selected printer. I can draft a document late at night using Google Drive and send the final product to my office printer for pickup in the morning.

MightyText eliminates the need to constantly check your phone for text messages. The app displays the messages’ contents on your desktop. If you want to respond, just click the box and type. MightyText also has a Chrome extension for your browser that eliminates the need to visit the website.
