$10K Bonus Offered to Lawyers Landing Jobs Via New Service

Two new online job-matching services can help lawyers and law students in their career searches.

One of the services, Lateral Link, offers $10,000 bonuses to members who obtain jobs at law firms through its listings, the Wall Street Journal reports. The service, offered by a legal recruiting firm, generally allows only graduates of top-tier law schools with two years of experience to access its listings. The venture was started by three Harvard Law School grads.

Another online job service called Legal Intelligence will use videoconferencing to help law students find law firms with cultures that best suit them, the Chicago Tribune reports. The service was launched by Jennifer Sara Levin, a former lawyer at Jenner & Block. A pilot program for the online service involves three law firms and Levin’s alma mater, Northwestern University School of Law.

A hat tip to Legal Blog Watch, which posted the news.
