123 Celebrity Jurors Tallied in New York

New York has seen its share of celebrity jurors, from Woody Allen to Paula Zahn.
Vincent Homenick, the chief clerk of the jury division for New York County, has an alphabetized four-page list of 123 celebrity jurors. The New York Times’ City Room blog lists the Ts: Twyla Tharp, Uma Thurman, Marisa Tomei, Donald Trump, Ivana Trump, Ivanka Trump, Kathleen Turner, Aida Turturro and Cicely Davis Tyson.
Homenick told a Times reporter who showed up for jury duty that another celebrity juror, actor Richard Thomas, is starring in a touring company revival of the classic jury movie, Twelve Angry Men.
Thomas was among the celebrity jurors who helped promote a new stamp promoting jury duty at a September unveiling. The ABA Commission on the American Jury Project and one of its co-chairs, New York Chief Judge Judith Kaye, helped nudge the U.S. Postal Service to issue the stamp.
