1/3 of Lawyers Expect Their Employers to Resort to Layoffs in 2009

Most American lawyers expect the recession to affect a broad swath of the legal profession and last for quite some time.

Our survey was answered by 14,307 attorneys—more than 1.3 percent of the nation’s 1.1 million lawyers.
