A $25 million gift for legal education has been made to the Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington by the Lilly Endowment. It is reportedly the largest gift the law school has ever received.

It will be used "for an initiative to attract and retain exceptional teachers and scholars and to establish the school as one of the very best public university law schools in the country," the university says in a press release.

"We have really improved the quality of our students and the placement of our graduates," Lauren Robel, the law school's dean, tells the Indianapolis Star. "Faculty is the last link in our strategic plan."
