In a raid that lasted throughout the night, federal agents seized 44 boxes of documents and a key to a Ferrari owned by a Florida lawyer suspected in an investment fraud that could involve hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Miami Herald (reg. req.) tallied the items taken from the Fort Lauderdale law offices of Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, where partner Scott Rothstein was suspected of running a Ponzi scheme involving the sale of legal settlements. Records seized include trust account statements, bank logs, credit card records and a manila folder marked “shred.”

Rothstein Rosenfeldt co-founder Stuart Rosenfeldt told the Herald that the law firm is cooperating. "I just made sure they knew where everything was,'' Rosenfeldt said. “I signed the consent to search for things not in the warrant. I gave them full access to the entire office.”
