The top 100 law firms in the United Kingdom saw average revenue growth of 12 percent in the fourth quarter, producing an average hike of 13.2 percent for the year, according to research by Deloitte.

The gains were even more impressive for the top 10 British firms, Legal Week reports. Their average fee income growth was 17 percent for the year that ended April 30, compared to 12.5 percent for the other firms in the top 100.

The Deloitte research found that average fees per earner increased by 5.4 percent for the year, even as billable hours fell 2 percent.
