Ten lawyers from Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner have jumped ship, joining the New York, Newark, N.J., and New Haven, Conn. offices of Littler Mendelson.

They are: Joel Finger and Jean Schmidt as partners; Joseph Field, I. Michael Kessel and Eric Witkin as special counsel; Marguerite Stenson Wynne as of counsel; Theo Gould, Ronit Gurtman, Patricia LeGoff and Kristi Mackin as associates, according to a Littler press release.

“Littler’s Tri-State offices have experienced exceptional growth, particularly during the past two years,” says Richard Hartz, managing shareholder of the New York and Melville, N.Y., offices of the 700-lawyer labor firm. “The addition of these notable attorneys underscores our commitment to success and reinforces the firm’s leadership position in labor and employment law in the Tri-State region and nationally.”

Thelen announced last month that it would be laying off 26 attorneys and 85 staffers, as discussed in a previous ABAJournal.com post.
