Epstein Becker Green Wickliff & Hall in Houston is losing a majority of its lawyers to Cozen O’Connor, including two name partners.

Fourteen lawyers are making the moving, according to a press release and the Texas Lawyer’s Tex Parte Blog. Among them are name partners A. Martin Wickliff Jr. and Alton J. Hall Jr., who previously founded the largest minority-owned law firm in Texas. They joined Epstein Becker & Green in 2002.

Wickliff represents management in labor and employment issues, while Hall handles energy and environmental litigation. Wickliff told Tex Parte that the move will offer their clients “the type of energy and litigation depth we thought was needed.”

Cozen O’Connor’s Houston office will double in size when the team moves there on June 1.
