Most of the lawyers at a Miami-based intellectual property boutique will be exiting for Cozen O’Connor later this month.

The two name partners of Feldman Gale will be in charge of a new national intellectual property litigation practice group at the Philadelphia-based Cozen firm, which lists more than 600 attorneys on its website and is particularly known for its insurance coverage work on behalf of insurers, reports the Daily Business Review (sub. req.).

Another 13 lawyers, comprising the bulk of the attorney roster at the boutique, also will be making the move.

“The Feldman Gale firm is nationally recognized for their high-stakes intellectual property litigation, trademark prosecution and patent prosecution,” said Cozen’s president and chief executive officer, Michael Heller, in a law firm news release. “Their practice will be a terrific addition to Cozen O’Connor and will strengthen our already nationally prominent intellectual property practice in strategic, geographic markets.”

The website for Feldman Gale lists 21 attorneys.

The departure of five other former Feldman Gale lawyers, including the partner in charge of its Tampa, Florida, office was announced last week in a news release by Brinks Gilson & Lione, along with the establishment of a new Tampa office. It is the seventh office for the nearly 125-attorney intellectual property firm.

“The volume of patent work for our clients nationwide continues to increase at Brinks,” said president James Sobieraj in the release. “Having highly qualified, experienced counsel licensed to practice in one of the nation’s growing venues for patent litigation is a logical move as we continue to grow.”
