Two partners at Adorno & Yoss have defected along with most of the mortgage default practice group there to form their own firm.

The new boutique, Rubin Lublin Suarez Serrano, is based in Norcross, Ga., and represents lenders and title companies, according to a Daily Report article reprinted in New York Lawyer (reg. req.). Glen Rubin, who serves as managing partner, says it was a good time for the practice group that he and Peter Lublin developed to go out on its own. Rubin and Lublin say they brought 15 attorneys from Adorno & Yoss; nearly the entire group.

Henry Adorno notes that his firm still has a mortgage default practice in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee, and wished the departing group the best, the legal publication reports.

“Twenty-four years ago, I broke off to start my own firm,” says Adorno. “We’re entrepreneurial, and they’re entrepreneurial, and that’s what this country is about.”
