A grand jury in Nevada is hearing evidence against another lawyer in an ongoing criminal investigation of forged certificates of completion for court-ordered counseling and community service.

The Clark County probe of criminal defense attorney Vicki Greco follows July raids by Las Vegas police of her home and law office, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Attorney Brian Bloomfield previously pleaded guilty in the case and is awaiting sentencing.

Greco’s counsel, Garry Modafferi, said it isn’t surprising that other targets in the case are trying to shift blame to his client.

“You’ve got a lot of people caught up in this mess and it’s going to play out over time,” Modafferi told the newspaper. “They’re making it seem like she’s the last figure in this scheme, and everybody’s pointing a finger at her to cut their criminal responsibility.”
