Federal authorities have charged three people in connection with a pipe bomb explosions this year at a San Diego courthouse and FedEx building.

Named in the 17 count indictment were Rachelle Lynette Carlock, Ella Louise Sanders, and Eric Reginald Robinson. They are charged with, among other things, using a weapon of mass destruction.

The San Diego Union Tribune details the courthouse bombing, in which three pipe bombs loaded with nails were detonated in front of the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Building on May 4. No one was injured, but the early morning blast spread shrapnel for two blocks and forced the closure of the courthouse for a day.
