Jones Day demoted five partners to counsel in its London office during 2009.

The law firm has not commented about why the demotions were made, according to Legal Week.

Jones Day presently has 48 partners in its London office.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, the law firm has more than 2,300 attorneys worldwide. It has made a number of cost-cutting moves this year.

OMG. What a sleazebag firm. I’m up against Jones Day in a federal civil case where they accused me of career ending impropriety. So they practice in a manner that coerces a win because of the futility of fighting against their home spun allegations. I wish more of us victims can bunch up and file a grievance against this firm. They all deserve demotions. I would also like to investigate their referral apparatus.

Jones Day is of the highest quality type of firm and if you are working with them, you can be assured that they follow the law and code of ethics to a tee.

What difference does this mean?  AFter all, the people are still getting paid.  I think this is all a bunch of hooey writing an article about this.
