Tremayne Norris isn’t giving up his day job as a patent litigation associate … yet.

But the fifth-year associate at Steptoe & Johnson’s office in the nation’s capital says he’s looking forward to more acting gigs after being cast in a starring role with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III in his first television commercial, reports the Washington Post.

In the ad, the 31-year-old Norris, who played as a tight end at Morgan State University, is haunted everywhere he goes, as he heads to a game, by visions of Gill, known to fans as RGIII. And indeed, in the final moments of the Adidas Adizone shoe commercial, which is linked to the Post article, the quarterback leaps over the fallen Norris to score a touchdown.

The experience of filming the commercial in various Washington, D.C., locations was nonetheless a blast, Norris tells the newspaper.

“I didn’t mind being the guy that gets hurdled over right before he gets to the endzone,” he said. “This is RGIII’s commercial, I’m just there. Being the guy that’s supposed to be opposite him on the defensive side, of course I’m going to get showed up.”
