Nine Texas patent lawyers from a Boston-based intellectual property boutique have found a new home in Austin, little more than a month after their own firm announced that it would soon be closing its Austin office.

Headed by partner Alan Albright, the four partners and five associates from Fish & Richardson are joining the local office of Bracewell & Giuliani, reports the National Law Journal in an article reprinted in New York Lawyer (reg. req.).

“Everyone who wanted to continue to do patent litigation was able to come to Bracewell,” Albright tells the legal publication. “To have an opportunity like this just weeks after learning my office was going to close, I feel like the luckiest lawyer ever.”
