A day after interim law dean resigns, SLU names longtime faculty member as new dean
Saint Louis University on Tuesday announced the appointment of a new law school dean, after the sudden resignation Monday of a practicing lawyer who had been serving as interim dean.
Michael Wolff, a longtime law professor at SLU who also formerly served as chief justice of the Missouri Supreme Court before returning to the law school in 2011, will now take the helm, the St. Louis Beacon reports.
In a letter (PDF) to faculty and students, the university’s acting vice president of student affairs thanks Tom Keefe for his service to the law school as interim law dean and says “the transition in leadership at the School of Law will now begin, with everyone committed to the smoothest transition possible in the weeks ahead. I ask you to congratulate Mike on his new position and to assist him as he assumes the dean position.”
