Accused of misusing his employee computer access to peep into Tiger Woods’ medical records without good reason and fired in December 2009, a Florida nurse has filed suit for defamation.

David Rothenberg is seeking more than $400,000 in damages and reinstatement to his former job at Health Central. He insists he never accessed Woods’ records and contends that someone else at the Ocoee hospital must have done so after he left the computer terminal he had been using unattended, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

“The biggest problem here is that the hospital did not secure its patient-care system,” says his lawyer, Michael Gort.

The suit was filed last week in Orange County Court.
