Responding to increased client demand for help with condemnation and eminent domain proceedings initiated in the nation’s capital, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based Ackerman Ackerman & Dynkowski has opened a new part-time satellite office in Washington, D.C., and expects to make it a full-time office by year’s end.

“Washington, D.C., is one of the most aggressive condemning authorities in the nation, and at the same time there are not a lot of firms in that area who have developed this particular niche, representing owners,” managing partner Alan Ackerman tells Crain’s Detroit Business.

The goal is to have a full-time attorney in the D.C. office by the end of the year. Until then, Ackerman will commute back and forth between the satellite office and Michigan.
