A man awaiting sentencing on Colorado burglary and theft charges has caught a new case after allegedly telling jail staff that he had an assault rifle and directions from God to kill the judge.

Justin Townsel is now jailed in lieu of $150,000 bond on a new felony retaliation charge and has been ordered to stay at least 50 feet from Mesa County District Judge Brian Flynn, reports KMGH.

At last report, it appeared that Townsel is still unsentenced in the burglary case.
