Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has two employment gigs in Nashville.

Earlier this week came the announcement that Gonzales will become a law professor at Belmont University, a new law school in Nashville. Now Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis has announced that Gonzales is joining the Nashville law firm in an of counsel capacity, according to The BLT: The Blog of Legal Times, the Am Law Daily and the Tennessean.

Gonzales will work on the firm’s diversity initiatives and will serve clients in the areas of white-collar defense, government relations and government investigations, according to a press release.

Gonzales told the New York Times magazine in 2009 that he was having difficulty landing a law firm job following his controversial tenure in the Justice Department. He ended up teaching at Texas Tech University.
