Police have arrested a suspect in the beating last month of a Dallas lawyer who remains in an intensive care unit at Baylor Hospital recovering from skull fractures.

Police arrested David Anderson, 28, on a charge of aggravated assault in connection with the beating of 39-year-old lawyer Damien Falgoust, report the Dallas Observer and the Dallas Morning News Crime Blog. Police records allege Anderson punched Falgoust after the lawyer left a nightclub in the early morning hours of Dec. 7. Anderson was allegedly retaliating because he believed Falgoust was responsible for the arrest of a friend in a disturbance several months before, according to the Crime Blog.

Falgoust was placed in a medically induced coma after the attack, which occurred on a night when the lawyer had been celebrating the possibility of a new job at a law firm after an interview.
