Are You More Productive Working at the Office, or Working from Home?
Last month, we did a post on the findings of a research report stating that work-at-home employees “end up getting lower performance evaluations, smaller raises, and fewer promotions” than those who put in more face time at the office.
This may or may not be an issue for you personally—you may be self-employed. And regardless of what others might think, you probably know whether you can get more work done in less time at the office or at your residence.
So this week, we’d like to ask you: Are you more productive working at the office, or working from home? In your case, which location has better technology and fewer distractions?

Posted by DSC: “As I walked into the convention center for the Virginia bar exam with three No. 2 pencils, I saw a fellow test-taker with a bundle of pencils at least six inches in diameter. Thinking I might not have enough pencils for a ‘pencil emergency,’ I asked him if I could have a couple. He gave a look of pure panic and managed to blurt, ‘I need these!’ before he literally ran away. I have often wondered how his nerves made it through the two days of testing. Oh, my pencils did just fine.”
