Two more BigLaw firms are trimming support staffers.

Arent Fox says has laid off about 20 support staffers, Above the Law reports. In a statement, the law firm says the layoffs are across various offices and departments. “Like many firms across the country, we are making hard choices to ensure that our resources are aligned with demand,” the statement says. “Those affected are being provided with severance pay and health benefits.”

Meanwhile, Schulte Roth & Zabel is offering voluntary buyouts to all its secretaries, Above the Law reports in a separate post. The firm hopes that 20 to 30 staffers will accept.

Alan Waldenberg, chair of Schulte Roth’s executive committee, tells Above the Law that the buyout consists of a $10,000 lump sum along with one week’s pay for each year of service. The firm is also offering one year of health benefits through COBRA.

Duane Morris confirmed earlier this week that it is laying off 17 secretaries and paralegals.
