A Louisiana district attorney had the floor on Friday as he discussed a recent high-profile defeat on a local radio station talk show.

But not for long.

As DA Leon Cannizzaro of Orleans Parish complained about a defense ruling in a police malfeasance case over alleged mistreatment of a handcuffed suspect, the judge who had acquitted the officer called in to defend himself, the Advocate reports.

Criminal District Court Judge Ben Willard also apparently tried to join the DA at the radio station, but was not allowed in.

The judge said he found the police officer not guilty because the government didn’t bring the victim in to testify at trial.
