A Memphis, Tenn., personal injury lawyer has been charged with rape by Dyersburg police, who say he asked a potential medical-malpractice client to partially disrobe so that he could see her scars and then touched her inappropriately.

It isn’t clear exactly where the alleged Jan. 25, 2011 meeting between Milton Magee Jr., 43, and the unidentified woman took place, the Dyersburg State Gazette reported.

The article doesn’t include any comment from Magee or his lawyer. However, the Associated Press says he is being represented by Jason Creasy, who declined comment, and Leslie Ballin.

The Memphis firm of which he is a partner didn’t immediately respond to a phone messages from the ABA Journal.

A hearing is scheduled in April in Dyer County General Sessions Court. Meanwhile, Magee is free on $7,500 bond.
