The lawyer-writer behind the ABA Journal Blawg 100 favorite BabyBarista has revealed his identity in order to start promoting his upcoming book, BabyBarista and the Art of War, which goes on sale in August, the London Times reports.

Tim Kevan is a barrister based in Braunton, England, who, according to his website, is also the co-author of Why Lawyers Should Surf and the founder of two legal businesses: CPD Webinars, which provides online video seminars for continuing legal education, and Law Brief Publishing, which publishes legal newsletters and journals. He also authors The Barrister Blog.

BabyBarista and the Art of War will expand on the blog’s fictional storyline—that of a pupil and later a junior barrister at the English bar. He told the Times he had hoped his blog “might raise a few smiles, but in my wildest dreams I hadn’t imagined [it would become so popular].” On BabyBarista itself, Kevan promises his readers that he will continue writing the blog.

The Times reports that he is currently working on a second novel based on BabyBarista.
