Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz has merged with a second law firm in Houston, its third combination in less than four months.

Baker Donelson announced today that it has acquired seven lawyers through a merger with business litigation firm Drucker, Rutledge & Smith. The Memphis Business Journal and a press release have the news.

The press release quotes Baker Donelson chairman Ben Adams. Drucker Rutledge has “an especially strong track record in representing financial services clients, which offers our existing clients in that sector experienced litigation counsel in Texas,” he says. The release characterizes the arrangement as a merger, but says Baker Donelson’s name will not change.

Baker Donelson merged in October with seven-lawyer Houston law firm Spain Chambers, and merged in November with six-lawyer Orlando firm Litchford & Christopher.
