Earlier this year, Balch & Bingham saw a 10-lawyer team of health care lawyers exit for Bradley Arant Boult Cummings.

But that gap is now being filled by the firm’s acquisition of Presley Burton & Collier, a 7-lawyer Birmingham firm specializing in public finance, reports the Am Law Daily.

“The attorneys of Presley Burton & Collier have a well-deserved reputation as outstanding lawyers serving tax-exempt and tax-advantaged transactions across the nation,” said Alan Rogers, who chairs the executive committee of Balch & Bingham, in a law firm press release. “This addition to our team represents a continued commitment to the health care industry and an investment in our business and finance offerings.”

With nearly 250 attorneys, Balch & Bingham is one of the largest law firms in Alabama. In addition to its Birmingham headquarters, it also has offices in five other cities: Atlanta; Montgomery, Ala.; Gulfport and Jackson, Miss., and Washington, D.C.
