Biggest Law Firm, by US Headcount Only, Is Jones Day
Baker & McKenzie is the nation’s largest law firm, but its ranking falls to No. 47 on a list of firms based on U.S. headcount only.
Baker has 3,805 lawyers, but only about one-sixth of them are in the United States, the National Law Journal reports. The publication has created a list of the largest U.S. law firms, based only on their number of U.S. lawyers. The top five are:
1) Jones Day, with 1,742 U.S. lawyers.
2) Greenberg Traurig, with 1,591 U.S. lawyers.
3) Skaden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, with 1,531 U.S. lawyers.
4) K&L Gates, with 1,421 U.S. lawyers.
5) Latham & Watkins, with 1,407 U.S. lawyers.
