Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is apparently fond of the catchphrase “f—ing golden.”

Blagojevich, accused of trying to sell the Senate seat once held by Barack Obama, was caught on tape asserting, “I’ve got this thing, and it’s f—ing golden.”

At a book signing yesterday, Blagojevich was coaxed to sign a copy of the Constitution next to the 17th Amendment dealing with the temporary appointment of senators, according to the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.

Blagojevich wrote: “Always remember the rule of law is sacrosanct, nay it is more—it is fn golden.”

Prosecutors say they plan to revise charges against Blagojevich to avoid delays that could be caused by an adverse U.S. Supreme Court ruling on honest services fraud. The court is considering the constitutionality of the law that makes it a crime to “deprive another of the intangible right of honest services.”
