Five years after Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck opened an office in Phoenix, that office has closed its doors.

But the Denver-based business and lobbying firm is still going strong in 14 other locations.

“This decision was not made lightly given our immensely talented team in Phoenix. We worked hard over the past five years to grow our team, client base and presence in the market,” spokeswoman Lara Day told the Phoenix Business Journal. “However, due to the difficulty of acquiring new practice areas in Phoenix that would build upon our strengths, we decided exiting the market would be the best path forward for the firm.”

Key figures at the Phoenix office moved on to other ventures earlier this year, the article says.
