A growing St. Louis-based international law firm is opening a new office in San Francisco, its third in the state.

Bryan Cave announced today that it is establishing a presence there, headed by Lynn McCreary, a former Kansas City partner specializing in litigation, employment and white-collar defense, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Although the firm is presently deploying its own lawyers to staff the new San Francisco shop, it also plans to hire new lawyers from outside the firm, too, reports Legal Week.

In addition to McCreary, "Kansas-based corporate partner Herb Kohn will relocate to San Francisco on a temporary basis, while counsel Patricia Wyrod and a number of associates will be switching permanently," the British legal publication writes.

The firm presently has more than 1,000 lawyers in 17 offices.
