Police say they have cracked the case of an Ohio senior citizen whose home was reportedly pelted with eggs more than 100 times in little over a year.

After hundreds of man-hours of investigation that included stakeouts, questioning of neighbors, a surveillance camera and DNA testing, former neighbor Jason Kozan, 30, has been arrested and charged with felony vandalism, according to Cleveland.com and the News-Herald.

No motive has been given and Euclid police haven’t explained how they determined Kozan was their man concerning the eggings that took place between May 2014 and June 2015. However, Cleveland.com says police got a warrant to search his home and the egg attacks virtually ceased after he moved from the area. Evidence found there persuaded a prosecutor to pursue the case, said Lt. Mike Knack.

Bond was set at $2,000 in the Euclid Municipal Court case. Police said it will be reviewed by a Cuyahoga County grand jury.

A WJW story includes photos of the damage to the home 85-year-old Albert Clemens Sr. shares with his adult daughter and son.

The articles don’t include any comment by Kozan or his defense counsel.
