A Columbia Law School student is blogging about her goal of getting free workouts for a year by visiting health clubs throughout New York City.

So far Julia Neyman has managed free workouts for a month at a dozen different gyms, the New York Daily News reports.

“Most people aren’t cheap enough to do this for a whole year,” Neyman told the Daily News. “But I am.”

According to the story, “Neyman will do whatever it takes to score no-cost gym sessions: lie, finagle, beg and even flirt.”

Neyman takes issue with that characterization at her blog, Buns of Steal. “Lemme set one thing straight,” she writes. “I don’t beg, lie and finagle to get my free passes. Most of the time, they’re just printed off the Internet or ripped from a magazine. Sure, I say I’m shopping around for gyms, … which is quite true–at the end of this year, I will pick the one I like best and join (this is my reward :)). Flirt, … well, maybe sometimes to extend my three-day pass for an extra day :) But generally, the point is that anyone could do the same thing I’m doing.”
