Faced with an escalating problem with child pornography, the feds plan to hire 38 new prosecutors, among other enforcement measures.

They also plan to launch a new database to help agencies coordinate better on the problem, as well as focus federal efforts on a list of 500 “most dangerous” sex offenders, reports the Associated Press.

Spurred by Internet technology, the child porn problem is rapidly escalating, says Attorney General Eric Holder. “Tragically, the only place we’ve seen a decrease is in the age of victims.”
