The church that won a Supreme Court case will exercise its First Amendment rights at the funeral of Steve Jobs.

The Westboro Baptist Church told of its plans in a Twitter message for iPhones, according to the Washington Post’s On Faith blog. Church members “seemed unable to find any irony in their embrace of the technology of a man they condemn,” the story says.

Church members typically show up at military funerals where they carry signs with slogans such as “God Hates Fags.” The church contends military deaths are a punishment for tolerance of homosexuality.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in March that the First Amendment protects church members from tort liability.
